About Author Dan Wright

Daniel Jack Wright was born in Anchorage, Alaska on May 10, 1986. He moved to Michigan with his family when he was 13 years old. After graduating from Grand Valley State University, Dan decided to put off a career in Business to pursue his dream of becoming a writer.

Inspired by his father’s mesmerizing stories of back-country adventure living in Alaska, as well as a deep love of animals, Wright decided to write a story that would encourage children to develop a love for the great outdoors. Dan’s first venture into the literary world came with the release of his 2010 adventure book, The Wild Adventures of Eli Johnson and Curly Bill. Following the release of his book, Wright took off on a twenty-three school book tour promoting his work. Bringing over a dozen animal furs, along with live Sugar Gliders, Dan captivated students with exciting tales from his time in the wild.

Encouraged by the success of his first book, Wright went into the process of developing The Wild Adventures series for kids ages 8-13.
